Do you require a contract? Yes. A written, legal contract is the best way to establish the DJ's obligation to the client and outline what is required for the DJ's success, such as setup requirements and other factors related to the performance.
May we meet with you in person before we sign a contract? Absolutely! I highly recommend meeting in person prior to signing any contract. After all, I want to make sure you feel 100% comfortable with your decision and all of your questions have been answered.
Will you be the DJ at our wedding / event? Yes. Each Production does not belong to a larger agency, therefore, I will be the one to DJ your event.
Do you perform for more than one event a day? No. At Each Production I never book two events in one day. Your event is my top priority.
What makes you different from your competitors? I have over 10 years of professional experience in the music business. As a graduate of Berklee College of Music, I've traveled all over the United States garnering national press and exposure. My personality, natural ability to work with people, and attention to detail uniquely separates me from other DJ services.
Do you act as the "emcee" and make all of the announcements? Yes, I'm completely professional and articulate while making announcements and introductions. All the details will be worked out in advance so you can relax and enjoy your special day. Prior to the event, I will give you an information sheet to fill out, which covers all the formalities including wedding party introductions.
Can we visit one of your events and watch you in action? I usually do not allow people to visit me at another function. After all, would you want prospective clients crashing your private party or wedding? I'm happy to send you pictures of my setup and refer you to previous clients for feedback.
Can we contact one of your references? Absolutely. In fact, I encourage you to contact a previous client. 99% of the work I do comes from referrals. Perhaps the highest complement you can give me is to refer my company to a friend or family member.
How early do you arrive to an event? I usually arrive 1-2 hours before guests arrive to give myself plenty of time for setup.
Can you provide sound for a wedding ceremony as well? Yes, it is becoming more and more popular nowadays for the ceremony to take place on-site. If this is something you're interested in, check out my wedding packages. Please note, depending on the location of the ceremony, additional equipment may be needed. If this is the case, additional charges may apply.
How do you keep your music catalog up to date? I have thousands of songs available for every event and am consistently updating and adding to my catalog. All of my songs are legally purchased. If there is a specific song you want that I don't already have, I'll make sure I get it. Since my music catalog is digital, I take up less space and am able to have an elegant, sleeker setup. I also bring a complete backup to every event.
How involved can we be in selecting the music for our event? I encourage all my clients to be involved with the musical selection. The more input, the better. Prior to the event, I will give you an information sheet to fill out. This will give me an understanding as to your musical tastes and expectations. I also have plenty of experience if you should decide you want to leave the song list up to me. All of my events are catered towards the client's needs.
What type of equipment do you use? I always use the most up to date, professional sound and light equipment available. I cater the setup to your needs, and the size of your event. Feel free to contact me for a complete list of gear.
Can we submit a "Do not play list?" Sure! This is included on the information sheet you fill out prior to the event. A "Do not play list" can include songs, artists and genre's you do not wish to be played during your event.
How will my DJ dress the day of the event? I wear a suit and tie to every event unless otherwise specified. For more formal events, a tuxedo will be worn upon request.
How much of a deposit is required to secure a date? 50% of the agreed upon price due at the contract signing. The remainder is due the day of the event.
How much do you charge? Depends on what services you're looking for. My prices are extremely competitive. Please visit my contact page or call to discuss your options. I'm always more than happy to work within your budget.
Do you charge for set-up/ breakdown and travel time? Set-up and breakdown are included, however additional charges may apply if the distance is further than 100 miles roundtrip (I am centrally located in Worcester, MA). Details such as this will be discussed and worked out prior to signing any contracts.
